Our tour will
begin at the Heavenly Tea Center (Celestial Seasonings Plant) near
Boulder, CO. Started in 1970 by Mo Siegel who hiked into the
mountains to gather ingredients for his herbal teas; today the company
boasts a worldwide distribution and reputation for some of the finest
teas in the business. During our privately guided tour, we will sample
different versions of tea, visit the mint room and watch the tea bag
production. We will end in the tasting room and gift shop
where time will be allowed for sampling and purchases.
Upon leaving
Celestial Seasonings, we will visit two local wineries where we will
have the rare opportunity to meet the owners and the winemakers in an
exclusive tour. Of course, no tour would be complete without
tasting the wines along with the opportunity to purchase at a
discounted price. Along the way our Professional Sommelier
will narrate the tour, providing local information, as well as an
overview of grape growing, wine making, the history of wine, and food
and wine pairing. We will complete our tour with a private
gourmet catered lunch at the second winery located in the heart of
Denver.
We will return to
the Convention Center in plenty of time to refresh before the evening
events.
